The Osage River is in good condition as the water is low 551.45, it’s clear and in the low 40’s. On Thursday I fished it and the bass bite was on fifteen or more keepers. Our best ones in the 3.5 lb range and we lost four that was that big. We had a hard time landing them as they pulled off or broke off at the boat. Over all it was fun and we had some nice fish. Kevan had two big drum right off and they was big ten lbs or better.
Lake Ozark is hot right now as the big bass are up and feeding. It takes around 25 lb’s to win. The Lake is 654.43 and clear the temp is 47 dregs on most days but warms up on warm and windy days. I look for it to be a good spring and I hope a long one. Once the water stays warm for a few days it will get even better. Jigs, crank baits, stick baits and A- Rigs have been working good the last few weeks. With the cold weather this week. Crappie have been in and out depending on the weather. Big crappie have been taken on stick baits over brush in deeper water. Some nice crappie are taken off docks in the clear water from the troll bridge to the dam. Get out and catch some fish what ever you like to fish for.
